The environment is highly protected and many natural parks and reserves were established, like the WWF oases or the unique Monti Sibillini and Monti della Laga National Parks with its paths. A visit at the Frasassi Caves is an unforgettable experience, a must for tourists coming from all over Europe and for speleologists too, in fact this complex of karst caves is 13 km long and is particularly rich in water and endowed with stalactites and stalagmites.
