WHAT TO DO SARDEGNA

In the North-West of Sardinia, Stintino gives you the opportunity of enjoying endless sctivities: golfing, boat excursions, scuba diving, relaxing strolls, cycling and horseback riding, or just exploring the hinterland and admire the typical Mediterranean vegetation or ancient archaeological finds, like the Nuragic constructions near Porto Torres.

A thrilling event that take part here is the “Regata della Vela Latina” (the Latin Sailboat Regatta), an important international event dedicated to sailingthat take place in August. Traditional sailing boats arrive from all over Italy to race in the crystal-clear sea near Stintino. The Vela Latina was the typical Mediterranean sail since the period of the Maritime Republics.

The archipelago of La Maddalena is particularly windy and boasts natural creks and picturesque landfalls, an ideal place for sailing, but also for horseback riding and mountain biking, an original way to enjoy sunset on the beach.

The National Park of Asinara, is one of the most beautiful on the Mediterranean Sea. The isle is populated by wild white donkeys, while it is possible to make a wide array of activities like trekking along thematic routes, cycling, riding horses born and bred on the Island, sailing, guided scuba diving and even partaking in a rubber-tire train tour to admire the most evocative landscapes in the area.

The massif of Gennargentu, gives you the opportunity of discover its natural environment thanks to a large number of activities including trekking and excursions to archaeological sites, as well as skiing on the slopes of Bruncu Spina, one of the highest peaks at 1,829 meters (6,000 feet), and Mount Spada, equipper also for winter soprts.
